Kiyovu Sports Faces Challenges as Former Leader Allegedly Misappropriates Team Bus

Kiyovu Sports is facing difficulties following reports that their team bus, which had been acquired in 2020 under the leadership of Mvukiyehe Juvenal, has gone missing.

In 2020, Mvukiyehe Juvenal was appointed to lead Kiyovu Sports and procured a team bus for the players.

However, during that time, he had not yet formally integrated the bus into the club, as he was still in the process of finalizing administrative details. Later, he became the head of Kiyovu Sports Company LTD and included the bus as part of the club’s assets.

In September 2023, the Kiyovu Sports board decided to remove the team from the management of the company led by Mvukiyehe Juvenal and return it to the Kiyovu Sports family.

Since then, Mvukiyehe Juvenal and the team have not agreed on the terms for the use of the bus.

Recently, news broke that the team had lost track of the bus, and there are allegations that Mvukiyehe Juvenal may have misappropriated it.

Kiyovu Sports spokesperson, Gakunzi Blaise, mentioned that the team has no intention of giving any ultimatums and emphasized that the bus is registered under Kiyovu Sports Company LTD.

He stated, “No ultimatums will be given. What remains important is that the bus is ours, and it is registered under Kiyovu Sports Company LTD, and the company belongs to Kiyovu.”

Despite this, reports indicate that the bus has been reported to the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB), including its license plates, and there are efforts to locate it as they suspect it might be used for other purposes.

While seeking the bus, they also mentioned not having information on its yellow card registration, and news sources indicate that it might have been registered under the name of Mvukiyehe Juvenal.
